MPSC Prelim Exam to be Conducted on 14 March 2021

Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) on Monday announced that the Preliminary Exam which was scheduled to be held on 11 October 2020, will now be conducted on Sunday, 14 March 2021.

The MPSC Examination will be conducted for the recruitment in various Departments such as Block Development Officer (BDO), Deputy Supridentent of Police (DSP), Deputy Collector (DC), Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Deputy Registrar Cooperative Socities, Supridentent State Exice Department and Tahsildar.

Class- A Officer Rs.15600 – Rs.39100 (Grade Pay According to the Rules)

Class- B officer Rs.9300- Rs.34800 (Grade Pay According to the Rules)

Prelim Syllabus MPSC 2021

There will be two papers:

  1. General Studies (GS): Current Affairs, History, Geography, Polity and Governance, Economy, Social Development, Environment Science
  2. Civil Services Apptitude Test (CSAT): General Mental Ability, Basic Numeracy, Logical Reasoning, Analytical Ability, Decision Making and Problem Solving, English Comprehension, Interpersonal Skills

Examination Pattern

  1. GS – 100 Questions, 200 Marks, 2 Hr Duration
  2. CSAT: 80 Questions, 200 Marks, 2 Hr Duration

Note: 1/3 Negative Marking, Questions are set in both English and Marathi  Language
