Hello, I am Sujay Sandip Jadhav. I recently got recommended from 1AFSB Dehradun for NDA 144 and was able to clear the CPSS test as well. I would like to share my journey with you and my experience with those who guided me through the process.
Since my childhood I’ve always been fascinated by the defence forces and most prominently the Airforce. After completing my 10th Board Exams, I started preparing for the NDA examination by doing self-study, learning about the SSB via various social media platforms like YouTube channels and gradually started developing my personality for it. Finally after practicing constantly, I was able to clear the NDA 2 2019, and got onwards with my SSB preparation. Through right guidance, I got to know about the mechanism of the SSB and started practicing for my psychological tests by overcoming my weaknesses. Moreover, I kept myself physically fit through my daily exercises which helped me in the GTO section of the SSB.
My SSB was scheduled on 18th March, 2020 and therefore needed to have more exposure with the SSB routine. I approached Brigadier Bodhe Sir, who heads the fine institution called BBCI (Brigadier Bodhe’s Career Institute) which is known for training the defence aspirants like me for the armed forces examinations and the SSB interview in the first week of March. With my 12th Boards finishing on the 13th March, 2020, I merely had 10 days of interaction with him in which he guided me in every possible way in the little time frame. He analysed my worksheets, corrected them wherever necessary and gave me tips to present myself confidently in the psychological tests. The experience of mock interview with him helped me comprehend my mistakes. Further, the group discussions and public speaking exercise in which I was able to practice with other candidates, gave me eminent exposure about the same. After this amazing experience of 10 days, I became more confident to face the SSB.
I reported at 1AFSB Dehradun on 18th March, 2020 with total 99 candidates. Due to my practice and good communication skills I was able to perceive the image in the PPDT session and finished the story in time. I had already decided and as advised by my mentors, I initiated group discussion and further was nominated to tell the story. I, along with 58 others got screened in. It was a sigh of relief! I had a little fever since the very morning and felt quite dizzy due to which I missed a story in TAT but performed well in SRT and WAT as advised by Bodhe sir. Next day I was interviewed by the president and due to the exposure of mock interview I was able to counter all the questions properly. Following day was allotted for GTO and my group did well in the group planning and group discussions. In PGT, HGT and command task I cooperated well and appreciated others and with teamwork was able to tackle all the obstacles.
Finally it was the day of conference and in conference I had to wait for 5 minutes. The officers asked me some general questions. After that result was announced and my chest number was called out, I was thrilled to hear that and contented at the same time. A total of 10 candidates were recommended. Next day was my CPSS test and I passed that eventually.
In the end I would like to dedicate my success to my parents and all those who guided me towards my goal especially Brigadier Bodhe sir. If I can do it by only 10 days interacting with him, you can too.
